DGB received the Best Performance in 2014 Award at the 29th annual South African Airways (SAA) Wine Awards.
This annual wine competition had over 1000 entries that were assessed blindly by an international panel of expert judges. DGB received two special awards and an impressive 7 wines will be served in 2014. AA has supported the South African wine industry for over two decades by providing an opportunity to showcase the best of its wines to the world. The annual selection process for wines to be served on SAA flights also provides local producers with invaluable feedback from an expert panel including overseas judges as to the quality of their product. The two special awards that DGB received were: SAA Chief Executive’s Award for Best Performance in 2014 SAA Chairperson’s Wine Award for most cases purchased The winning wines will be served by the national carrier this coming year on its domestic, regional and international flights, as well as in the airline’s business class lounges.
